Don’t want to say goodbye to your favorite guilty pleasure food? Find ways to incorporate them into healthy meals or snacks. For example, instead of finishing a whole bag of chips in one sitting; instead, add some to a salad as a crunchy topping. Don’t minus your foods, add to them!

2. Do it for you

Doing anything for the wrong reasons or to please someone else will not make you happy in the end. Make sure you are ready to lose weight for you. Your health and happiness are your best reasons.

3. Set small goals

If you’re absolutely ready to lose some weight, chances are you’ve tried in the past. Whether you lost motivation, didn’t know where to start, or had false hope for fast results, your journey hasn’t worked out because you had high expectations. Instead of focusing on how much weight you want to lose in total, set manageable goals. What do you expect/aim to lose in 30 days? Simply focus on that. (Even feel free to incentivize it with a small gift to yourself.)
